Flagship — IEEE ICACT · Phoenix Park

South Korea, 2007.

Session Chair at the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Communication Technology, ICACT 2007 — chairing the Mobile Communication Session, where researchers from 11 countries presented their work. Certified by the conference's Technical Program Committee.

Research presented: a Noise Canceller based on the Generalized Mean Neuron, benchmarked against standard MLP and RLS networks — published in IEEE and IJCSE. The work became a foundation for two decades of applied AI systems across signal processing, healthcare, tracking, and national cybersecurity infrastructure.

GMN Based Noise Cancellation

IEEE ICACT 2007 · IJCSE

A Generalized Mean Neuron model for adaptive noise cancellation — matching MLP parameter count with improved cancellation performance, validated against MLP and RLS filtering.

Sensing & Tracking

UKF + CNN Localization

RFID Tracking Systems

Intelligent RFID based tracking combining convolutional neural networks with Unscented Kalman Filtering for real time object localization and surveillance.

UKF + Wavelet Neural Networks

Indoor Localization

Indoor localization combining Unscented Kalman Filtering with wavelet neural networks — incorporating phase data alongside signal strength for improved positioning accuracy.

Applied Systems

Real Time Tele-Healthcare

Virtual OPD · Remote Diagnostics

Real time tele-healthcare systems for remote consultation and monitoring — a Virtual OPD acquiring ECG, heart rate, SpO2, and body temperature for diagnosis at a distance, built to bridge the healthcare gap for rural and underserved regions. Alongside: CNN and curvelet transform based abnormality detection in MRI brain imaging.
